ATTRACTION developing consumer market

ethica products sold on Ma Zone Québec website

Lac-Drolet, Quebec, May 12, 2020 — Garment manufacturer ATTRACTION, located in Lac-Drolet, is proud to announce that people can now purchase ethica masks, t-shirts, and sweatshirts, its 100% Canadian brand, directly from Ma Zone Québec. This step is the first in developing the Canadian consumer market for ATTRACTION.

A new adventure

“The idea of selling online directly to consumers has been at the back of our minds for a long time,” say Julia Gagnon and Sébastien Jacques, Operations Vice-President and Sales and new business development Vice-President for Attraction Inc. “We wanted to make available all our ethical, comfortable clothing made right here in Lac-Drolet by our team. Our ethica product range has existed for 10 years. It is prized by our corporate clients both in the promotional and tourism markets. So, for us, offering it to consumers became the natural thing to do,” they continue.

Why now?

“The current situation and the fallout from the pandemic on our team have a bearing on this launch. Over the last few weeks, we expended great efforts to contribute, on our scale, to protect our employees, healthcare professionals and all Canadians notably by manufacturing jersey non-medical masks and protective gowns. It was our own way of bouncing back, buoyed by the motivation of our team and our values.

When we published photos of the masks, we received numerous requests from consumers. So, when the Ma Zone Québec initiative was announced to promote local purchasing, we seized the opportunity and accelerated the launch of ethica in this new market,” explains Sébastien Jacques.

Expected results

“We created a mini collection made up of masks, t-shirts and sweatshirts with exclusive decorations made available online a few days ago on Ma Zone Québec. We are very pleased with the result and we noticed that Canadians are very aware of the importance of buying locally. We hope the development of online sales will help bring our team back to work, as much as possible, while following public health guidelines,” concludes Julia Gagnon.

ethica, 100% Canadian, ethical, comfortable

Designed, manufactured, and decorated locally in Lac-Drolet by a unionized team, ATTRACTION’s exclusive ethica-brand clothes are made from organic cotton and recycled polyester blend fabric. Purchasing ethica products is an important gesture for the environment since it reduces the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, and can help recycle up to five 500-ml plastic bottles per garment.

ATTRACTION: Showcase your image

Recognized as a leader in its field, ATTRACTION is a Lac-Drolet, Quebec, company specializing in designing, manufacturing, and decorating clothing for the promotional, tourism and now consumer markets.

This family-run business has been innovating since 1980 and owes its success to the collaboration of every member of its team, its values, its culture of excellence and a clear vision of its role in the local and regional communities.

The leadership team is busy managing the growth of the organization while creating a dynamic, open, healthy and inclusive day-to-day workplace for the greater ATTRACTION family.
