Who We Are
At Attraction, we believe apparel can mean something. Since 1980, we’ve been making custom clothing defined by its design, its durability, and the values it carries. In an industry under pressure to do better, we’ve chosen to be part of the solution, crafting products we’re genuinely proud of.
Our teams are based in Canada: head office, warehouses, and decoration facility in Lac-Drolet, sewing factory in Montreal, Jameo offices in Sherbrooke.
Made Better
The apparel industry is one of the most polluting in the world. We know it. And that’s exactly why we choose to do things differently. At Attraction, our efforts focus on responsible production, reducing our carbon emissions, and giving materials a second life.
Producing environmentally responsible garments, with respect for people and the planet, is central to who we are. Our Ethica collection uses exclusively GOTS-certified organic cotton and GRS-certified recycled polyester, along with recycled fibers.
Our unionized team decorates all our apparel and manufactures the Ethica brand locally. United Steelworkers, Local 9153 at our Lac-Drolet workshop and Local 7625 at our Montreal workshop.

We have come a long way since 1980.
Our ambitions continue to evolve with the needs of our time. Here are our commitments for the years ahead:
- 1
GHG emissions
Calculate our GHG emissions, implement initiatives to reduce them, and offset scope 1 and 2 at 100%.
- 2
Operations
Implement initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint of our operations.
- 3
Ethical fibers
Improve the composition of our Ethica and Initial brands so that 80% of our garments and accessories contain at least 20% lower-impact ethical fibers by 2028.
- 4
Packaging
Prioritize recycled or compostable materials for our packaging and completely eliminate single-use packaging by 2028.
- 5
Initiatives
Support a minimum of 5 social and/or environmental initiatives within our company and community each year.
Ethical Fibres
One of the most effective ways to reduce the impact of the fashion industry on natural ecosystems is to improve garment composition by choosing more ethical fibers.
Ethica organic cotton
India · fabrics woven and dyed in Canada
Compared to conventional cotton, organic cotton is grown using practices designed to reduce the use of chemical inputs and minimize environmental impact.

Ethica recycled cotton
Turkey or China
Recycled cotton brings textile waste back to life. By reusing pre-industrial waste to produce new cotton yarn, we can significantly reduce water, dyes and energy.

Ethica recycled polyester
India and China · GRS-certified
Recycled polyester is produced from post-consumer PET bottles, the same plastic bottles used for bottled water, which would otherwise go to a landfill or in our oceans.

Carbon Neutrality
In 2022, we collaborated with the University of Sherbrooke on a project to quantify our GHG emissions. Since then, we have offset 100% of our scope 1 and 2 emissions through the organization Less Emissions and through the purchase of Canadian carbon credits certified under the CSA standard.
A comprehensive audit of our 2024 emissions was conducted with LCL Environnement. We obtained the Carbon Neutral – Business certification, confirming that our offsets meet their requirements.
Beyond offsetting our emissions, we continuously work to reduce them at the source. Since February 2024, we have been using low-cure inks that allow us to lower the temperature of our screen printing ovens and reduce our gas consumption by approximately 35%, helping to decrease our overall GHG emissions.

Energy Improvements
We are committed to minimizing our energy consumption. Since 2018, we have implemented numerous initiatives to reduce our impact. These projects reflect our commitment to adopting sustainable practices and contributing to a more environmentally friendly future.
- 2018
Acquired an automatic screen-wash system.
Reduced chemical use through recirculation.
- 2021
Converted conventional lighting to LED.
Motion sensors installed. Reduced electricity consumption. Optimal lighting quality.
- 2023
Introduced low-temperature curing inks.
Lower screen-printing oven temperature. Reduced gas consumption. More comfortable environment.
- 2023
Added digital printing to our decoration offering.
Fewer preparation and cleaning steps, reducing the consumption of supplies and chemicals. Water-based eco-friendly inks dried in an electric oven.
- 2024
Installed an air recirculation system.
Reduced heat peaks during summer. Improved air quality.
- 2025
Installed heat pumps for the office area.
Optimized heating for better energy efficiency and more comfort for office staff.
- 2026
Installed an electric charging station.
Several team members replaced gas vehicles with electric or hybrid models.

Textile Waste Recovery
Reuse of Textile Scraps
Despite numerous efforts and investments to limit losses related to garment cutting at the source, such as the purchase of an automated placement software and an automatic cutter, an unavoidable loss of about 18% of fabric was previously directed to landfills.
An agreement made with Mécanec Transformation Textile Inc. (MTT Inc.) now prevents the landfill disposal of most Ethica textile scraps. In 2025, 27 tons of textile waste were kept out of landfill, the equivalent of about five elephants!

More Initiatives
Management of Hazardous Materials
Our residual hazardous waste is safely treated, recycled, or disposed of by FEC Technologie. In 2025, we reduced our aerosol can waste by 78% and our liquid and solid hazardous materials by 48% compared to 2024.
Packaging
Since 2019, we have reused tens of thousands of boxes from our suppliers, representing an average annual recovery rate of 25%.
Transportation
98% of Initial merchandise is shipped by sea, a mode of transport that generates fewer greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions than air transport.
Reuse, Resale and Donation
99% of our customer returns and non-conforming units are reusable despite their esthetic defects. We extend their life by reselling them through partners, donating them to people in need, or using them for decoration testing.
Eco-Friendly Black Ink
Our eco-friendly black ink is made from recovered inks, a concrete way to reduce waste and promote material upcycling.
Care Labels
Our care labels educate customers on the importance of washing by hand or in cold water and air drying to reduce energy and water consumption.
People & Diversity
The growth of Attraction would not have been possible without diversity and inclusion. The contribution of skilled workers from around the world has supported the growth of the company as well as its communities.
